Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between track and segment mode?

Track mode creates one file per <trk> element. Segment mode creates one file per <trkseg>, useful when a single track has pauses recorded as separate segments.

Are waypoints included in the output?

No. Only track data is split into output files. Waypoints are not duplicated across splits.

Can I split a multi-day recording?

Yes. If each day is recorded as a separate track or segment, splitting gives you one file per day.
